Homemaker Personal Care (HPC)
Homemaker/Personal Care, often called HPC, supports a person to become more independent while meeting their daily living needs. Direct service providers help people with household chores and personal care such as cleaning, getting dressed, making food, doing laundry, getting to and from appointments, and interacting with the community.
Homemaker Personal Care (HPC) Transport
Individuals with disabilities can access community activities, waiver services, and other resources with Homemaker Personal Care (HPC) Transport. This service is the perfect solution for transportation when other agencies or people are unable to provide assistance.
Non-Medical Transportation (NMT)
Non-Medical Transportation offers transportation solutions for getting to and/or from a place of employment or to access career planning, adult day support, individual/group employment support, or vocational habilitation.
Residential Respite
Residential Respite makes it possible for an individual to receive support in the home of a friend, family member, or a licensed facility when their regular caregiver (paid or unpaid) is not available or needs a break.
Money Management
These services complement the work of other professionals by facilitating the completion of day-to-day tasks based on the client’s needs. This can include bill paying, bank statement management, benefit applications, notarization or power of attorney duties, negotiating with creditors, and organizing tax documents.
Participant-Directed HPC
With Participant-Directed HPC, a person can decide how much to pay their staff and they may act as the employer. This service provides help with tasks such as getting dressed, preparing food, and accessing things in the community. Remember, Participant-Directed HPC is an option available through all three of the waivers DODD administers.
Supported Living
Supported Living services are part of a range of residential service options for clients to live in the most appropriate, least restrictive home environment without jeopardizing the client's health or safety.
Remote Support
Promotes independence to clients via technology to monitor a client's health, safety, and other needs via live communication.
Ohio Shared Living (OSL)
Shared Living provides clients the support they need while having a live-in caregiver to assist with daily tasks, self-determination, and advocacy. This service is offered in a community setting, either in the provider's or the client's home. The shared living service creates a long-term commitment from the service provider to the individual, resulting in a lifelong relationship by welcoming the client to be a part of the provider's family.
